Purpose Of Use

Our company handles customer personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the following business activities and purposes of use. Furthermore, regarding sensitive information as defined in the "Guidelines for Protection of Personal Information in the Financial Sector" (Public Notice by the Personal Information Protection Commission and Financial Services Agency) (hereinafter referred to as "the Guidelines"), we will not acquire, use, or provide it to third parties except in cases listed in Article 5, Paragraph 1 of the Guidelines. When acquiring, using, or providing such information to third parties in cases listed in the said paragraph, we will handle it with particular care to ensure that the acquisition, use, or provision to third parties does not deviate from the reasons specified in that paragraph.

1. Business Activities

(1) Investment advisory and agency business, and Type II financial instruments business based on the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
(2) Specified real estate joint enterprise based on the Specified Real Estate Joint Enterprise Act.
(3) Real estate brokerage business.
(4) Businesses that our company, as a financial instruments business operator, is permitted to conduct upon receiving prescribed approval under law (including businesses for which handling may be approved in the future).
(5) Businesses incidental or related to (1) through (4) above.

2. Purposes of Use

(1) For soliciting and selling financial products and providing information on services based on our financial instruments business.
(2) For soliciting and selling real estate and providing information on services based on our specified real estate joint enterprise.
(3) For soliciting and selling real estate and providing information on services based on our real estate brokerage business.
(4) For responding to investigations and reporting requests from supervisory authorities and self-regulatory organizations based on laws and regulations.
(5) For assessing the appropriateness of providing products and services in light of suitability principles and other relevant criteria.
(6) For verifying the customer's identity or the identity of their representative.
(7) For reporting and advising customers on transaction-related matters, investment performance, and other relevant information.
(8) For responding to, confirming, and recording customer inquiries and consultations.
(9) For researching and developing products and services through market research, data analysis, surveys, and other means.
(10) For exercising rights and fulfilling obligations based on contracts with customers, laws, and other regulations.
(11) For recruiting, selecting, and managing the labor and human resources of officers and employees of our company and our affiliated companies (referring to the affiliated companies listed in 3 (2) below).
(12) For appropriately performing outsourced tasks, such as when we are entrusted with all or part of the processing of personal information by other businesses.
(13) For performing operations incidental to the businesses and administrative tasks listed in the preceding items.
(14) For disclosing or providing personal information to third parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use from (1) to (13) above.

3. Personal information may be jointly used with our affiliated companies listed below, to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
